As a Property Manager/ Assistant Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the effective management and maintenance of residential or commercial properties. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, tenant relations, lease administration, and property maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and profitability of the assigned properties.

Key Responsibilities:

-Property Operations:

Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.

Manage property budgets, expenses, and financial performance.

Oversee rent collection, lease enforcement, and eviction proceedings when necessary.

Handle tenant requests and maintain positive tenant relations. Draft and execute lease agreements in compliance with local and state regulations. Maintain accurate records of lease terms, renewals, and terminations.

Conduct background checks and screenings for prospective tenants.

Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements and budgets.

Monitor and manage property expenses to maximize profitability.

Ensure timely payment of bills and property taxes.

Stay informed about local and state housing laws and regulations.

Ensure the property complies with all legal requirements, including fair housing laws.

Supervise and train property management staff.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities as needed.

-Qualifications:

Proven experience in property management or a related role.

Strong knowledge of property management software and tools.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to handle tenant relations and conflict resolution effectively.

Knowledge of local and state housing laws and regulations.

Organizational and multitasking abilities.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

TAX CREDIT/HUD EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.
