Responsibilities
The key activities performed by our event sales managers at Grand Occasions include:
⁃ account management through Tripleseat (our event sales platform)
⁃ cold sales management through Eventective (our external marketing platform)
⁃ maintain favorable public relations with external clients and internal team members
⁃ build effective and favorable client relationships with various ethnic groups in our brand
⁃ assist with minor venue event planning, coordination and logistic management with venue rules & requirements in the forefront
⁃ client payment management and communication
⁃ prepare proposals through Tripleseat for clients and maintain well-organized event records
⁃ build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners, and leverage these relationships to deliver innovative and memorable event
Communications and Customer Relationship Management
Our event sales managers should have excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
He/She should be polished and articulate, and use these skills to manage client relationships.
It’s ideal that our Event sales manager is or has been an active member of the hospitality and event planning industries, which would aide in pursuing new market opportunities to increase event sales at Grand Occasions.
Our Event Sales Manager will meet with clients regularly via phone and in person as well as conduct tours of the event facility.
We will train our Event sales manager about our unique facility so that we can provide accurate and timely information to clients, vendors, and planners. Our Event Sales Manager does have limited negotiating power to assist in closing the deal. The continuous focus should always be on improving customer satisfaction to create customer loyalty and deliver a positive event experience.
Day of Event Management
Our Event sales managers are responsible for all elements of in house event management, including identifying event logistics needed for everyone to be successful while maintaining and enforcing the required rules of the facility.
They coordinate event logistics, proactively communicate event information, and set clear expectations for event delivery.
Our Event sales managers should be able to work well under pressure, be able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, and re-prioritize efforts when plans change or the need arises.
Our Event sales managers will prepare detailed day of event reports to track event details.
They will also analyze and reconcile all event details, and consolidate the information into actionable event plans for in house set up and day of operations.
