Digital Technician (will train)

Distrito de Columbia, Washington 00000 Washington USA

Vacancy caducado!

Scanning records at the National Archives using provided equipment. The job requires a very detail-oriented and self-motivated person who can be productive without supervision. You'll be working with Civil War-era documents so an interest in history is a plus.

This is a piecemeal job (you'll get paid for each record that you scan, not by the hour) which averages $20/hr to start and will go up as you get better at the work.

The schedule is flexible. You'll manage your own schedule and are expected to work five days a week (M-F, 9am-4:30pm) on MOST weeks but you can work four or even three days a week on occasion as your life requires. The pay rate accounts for about one hour of hand-written paperwork that is required at home the night before each work day. Legible handwriting is required.

Computer experience (PC) is a plus. Across the street from the Archives metro on the green/yellow line. You will be required to transport equipment to/from work each day (one rolling bag).
