A digital court reporter uses advanced recording technology to record court proceedings.
ICR/Rudiger and Green services Northern Virginia primarily. You will be asked to travel to different job sites most days.
Areas included are (but not limited to): Arlington, Alexandria, Tysons Corner, Fairfax, Prince William County, Stafford County, Prince George's County, Fauquier County, Warren County, Loudoun County.
Digital Reporter duties are:
To listen to each and every word being spoken to ensure it is being properly recorded.
Interrupt when necessary to ensure a proper record is being made.
Take notes of who is speaking and a few words they say.
Keep track of spellings.
Be professional in appearance.
Be punctual.
After the proceeding, the reporter is responsible for ensuring a good mix of the channels for the transcriptionist is made.
Upload all recordings, including the mix and any notes made during the proceeding.
It is a salaried position based on a 40-hour work week. Some days are full days and other days are not.
Some office work may be required at our Manassas location.
ICR/Rudiger and Green will provide all equipment and complete training. Entry level position.
