Job Summary:

Brainscope is a medical neurotechnology company that is improving brain health by providing objective, diagnostic insights that enable better patient care. BrainScope is leading the way in the rapid and objective assessment of brain-related conditions, starting with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), utilizing multiple integrated assessment capabilities, artificial intelligence (AI), and digitization.

We are currently hiring a manufacturing technician. This role includes assembling and wiring handheld medical devices. The equipment will vary in size, weight, and degree of complexity. Physically, it requires versatility, agility, heavy lifting, and the ability to work in various positions for extended periods of time. An ideal candidate should be familiar with mechanical prints, electrical schematics, BOMs, troubleshooting build processes and soldering. This is an in-office role and requires daily commuting to Brainscope’s facility in Rockville, MD.

Key Responsibilities

Helping to maintain an organized and tidy work environment is essential.

Working in a production environment, performing repetitive tasks from time to time, agility and heavy lifting must be considered by all candidates.

Product builds, including small pre-assembly work.

Maintain Calibration & Test equipment

Using hand and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies specified by prints, schematics, and BOMS.

Pre- or Sub-assemblies that require mechanical and electrical components

General project knowledge and support from start to finish to meet schedules.

Securing approvals, ordering raw materials and supplies.

Performing incoming inspections

Shipping product to customers

Minimum Qualifications

1-2 years of experience of working with electronic assembly. May have vocational qualification

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to follow directions and work without constant supervision.

Prior experience with working in regulated environments.

Willingness to work in a team environment and contribute towards shared goals

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably in a repetitive environment.

Proven good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude

Have a basic understanding of safety rules, OSHA and PPE requirements.

Ability to interpret drawings, prints, schematics, and BOMs.
