Staff Attorney Supervisor – for prominent global law firm client.
This position can be remote, but candidates must live within commuting distance to the DC office.
This role is responsible for oversight of Staff Attorneys and document review projects. The Supervisor will conduct new hire orientations, track staff attorney assignments, and provide training in addition to assisting with TAR/CAL implementations/workflow, and vendor coordination on document review projects.
Responsibilities: Oversight of the Staff Attorney department including utilization, client satisfaction, and quality of work product. Resolution of staff/personnel problems including disciplinary action/termination. Assigning projects to staff attorneys, assisting with projects (specifically regarding establishing best practices), and coordinating workflow. Supporting widespread use of metrics tools ensuring document review quality/productivity. Managing productivity/resource availability. Approving billable hours. Maintaining administrative records. Participating in annual salary reviews/evaluations; providing feedback/constructive criticism. Supervision of document review teams. Coordinate with the litigation support team and/or e-discovery vendors to communicate and resolve end-user issues.
Position Requirements: JD from an accredited US law school. Must have a minimum of five years of eDiscovery/document review supervisory experience in an AMLAW 100 or 200 law firm, or a major vendor with at least 2 years of eDiscovery/document review experience. Good standing in the DC or NY Bar depending on office location. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, as well as Relativity and similar document review database software platforms; significant experience with TAR and CAL technologies, techniques, and workflows. Flexibility to work additional hours and assist with deadline intensive projects.
Salary is commensurate with experience $134k- $188.5k.
