The Law Office of Rowena N. Nelson is looking for a qualified candidate to fill an Of Counsel position immediately with the following qualifications: -able to represent clients in Maryland and DC (DC Bar not required but desirable); -a member in good standing with the Maryland Bar and or the District of Columbia. The Law Office of Rowena N. Nelson is looking for a qualified litigator candidate to fill an Of Counsel position immediately with the following qualifications:
- Able to represent clients in Maryland and DC (DC Bar not required but desirable)
- A member in good standing with the Maryland Bar, Virginia Bar and/or the District of Columbia
- Ability to provide legal services as well as full case representation to clients on behalf of the office
- Able to cover hearing
- Ability to conduct client intakes
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence
- File pleadings
- Maintain court calendar and prepare clients for hearings/trials
- Experience in the bankruptcy court and or Circuit Court
Qualifications
- Expertise in Bankruptcy and Family Law
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensure to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, and/or D.C (Primarily D.C and Maryland)
Law Office of Rowena Nelson, LLC has been operating since May 2009 and primarily handles Bankruptcy and Family Law cases in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
