Wood Post Installation Company in search of a sign installer
Must have pick-up truck or van. (You will be installing an 8 foot long 4x4 with a 4 foot
cross arm) Pick-up trucks are preferred.
Description/Info:
We arecontracted to install and removewood post signs for Real Estate Companies in the Mid-
Atlantic Region. How our company works is; we contract all the work within a certain area to
independent contractors. We refer to the contractors as "installers" for that certain area. Then; as we
receive workat our headquarters (in Baltimore, MD) via internet, email, fax and phone calls we send
them to the "installer" in the appropriate areas.
The 3 types of jobs we contract out are as follows.
1) Install- Installing a 4x4 real estate sign post at the property 2 feet deep, touching up with paint, then
hangs the appropriate sign panel.
2) Removal- Removing the 4x4 real estate sign post at the property and fill in the hole in the ground.
3) Service call- Anything other than an install or removal (an example: sign knocked down please
reinstall; sign panel vandalized please replace; etc.)
The pay the installer receives is the following (per stop rate)
Install- $12.00
Removal- $12.00
Service call- $12.00
We do not withhold any taxes. All installers are independent contractors. (Contractors are issued
1099 tax form)
We would provide to you- 4x4 posts, sign panels, hardware needed, paint needed to freshen up the
posts.
Things you would have to provide on your own are a vehicle, gas, digging tools, and a place to hold
our material (posts, panels, etc).
Being a sub-contractor; your hours are your own. If you want to do the work in the morning, afternoon,
or evening it’s completely up to you. All we ask is that all the work be completed within 2 business
days of receiving the orders. The 2 business day turn-around is VERY important.
