Job description
An Alexandria based Renovation Company is in search a bilingual English / Spanish project/construction manager for work mostly associated with apartment’s renovation in Northern Virginia.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of construction including, but not limited to, investigation of construction needs, coordination with design professionals, overseeing the project crew, report their hours and management of multiple construction schedules and budgets.
Conduct and document project progress meetings with Contractor, Owner, and Designer
Review and evaluate look-ahead, monthly, and baseline schedules.
Ensure overall project success and owner satisfaction.
Visit different projects within the area.
Experience:
5 plus years of experience in construction
Proven ability to deliver projects.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of building codes, technical requirements of construction and current project delivery methodologies.
Excellent written and oral communications; ability to present complex subjects clearly.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task on different projects
Ability to foster teamwork and inspire performance in others.
Ability to frame problem statements in a way that facilitates timely decision making.
Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office and Excel.
Must have knowledge of all interior renovation including Paint, carpet, ceramic, Vinyl, cabinets, appliance installation, basic plumbing, and electrical work.
