Job Summary:
The Golf Course Spray Technician is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the golf course. They help diagnose specific diseases and treat insects that affect critical areas of the course as well as identify and treat unwanted vegetation, using both preventative and curative methods.
Day-to-Day:
Operates powered equipment in mowing golf course putting greens, aprons, and tees.
Water and fertilizes putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Grades and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants, vegetative material, and seeds putting greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Sometimes change cups and tee markers.
Operates light equipment in hauling materials.
About You:
2+ years' experience applying pesticides (outside of golf industry ok).
Possess or have the ability to obtain a Virginia pesticide applicators license within 60 days of start date.
Must be able to lift boxes, jugs and bags that can be bulky and heavy.
High school diploma or equivalent.
