The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for over 27 years is seeking an experienced Lowboy Driver . This position will be reporting to our Manassas, VA yard location and must have a valid class A CDL along with a good driving record. We operate in the DC metro area.

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving environments and be comfortable operating different types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and hauling heavy equipment. This role involves transporting heavy equipment and other construction material safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties

Safely operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, lowboys

Perform route driving to deliver Heavy equipment to designated locations in a timely manner.

Load and unload heavy equipment and other construction material.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during routes.

Ensure that all freight is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during delivery.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Experience with manual transmission vehicles is required.

Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.

Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures for various types of freight.

Experience driving tankers or other specialized vehicles is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
