Hours: Up to 5 hours per week

Days: Sunday Mornings

Compensation: $15 - 20/ Hour

About Us

Christ the King, an evangelical church in the Anglican tradition, is seeking a dedicated Children’s Ministry Staff Member to join our team to ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children, allowing parents to participate fully in worship and church related activities with peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities:

-Childcare & Safety: Provide safe and compassionate care for children (infants to 7 year olds) that aligns with our Protecting God’s Children Policy during services and events.

-Engagement & Development: Lead age-appropriate activities, such as Bible story telling, music, play, and games that promote spiritual growth.

-Basic Childcare Needs: Attend to the essential needs of children, including diaper changes, comforting, and ensuring emotional and physical well being.

-Classroom Maintenance: Create a welcoming environment by ensuring the classrooms remain, organized, and conducive to learning and play.

-Communication: Maintain clear communication with parents regarding their child’s class participation and any noteworthy observations.

-Event Support (Optional): Provide childcare support for special church events such as small groups and mom groups.

Requirements Prior to Start Date:

-Background Check and Completion of Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic Protecting God’s Children Training Course.
