Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of dental front office experience, be knowledgeable in insurance codes, submission, and eligibility. The ideal candidate will be willing to assist in any area of the practice as needed, possess excellent communication skills, and be open to learning new, innovative approaches. Prior knowledge of dental assisting is not required, as the team will be receiving training before opening. Fluency in Spanish is a big plus.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional clerical support and assisting with various front desk responsibilities. This position is vital for maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality care.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs.

Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently using dental software.

Assist with reviewing documentation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information.

Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.

Maintain a clean and organized office environment, ensuring all areas are ready for patients.

Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth patient flow during appointments.

Utilize Open Dental PMS for managing patient data and documentation.

Handle phone inquiries, respond to emails, and provide information regarding services offered.

Skills

Strong clerical skills with experience in front desk operations, preferably in a dental office or hospital setting.

Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental, Dexis, Flex, and DTX is highly desirable.

Familiarity with dental billing coding for accurate documentation is a must.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Attention to detail for thorough documentation review and record keeping.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

A compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
