Growing, fast-paced Pediatric Practice in North Bethesda is in search of a Medical Assistant to join our team.
Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examinations
Provide care of patients
Track and record patient information and labs
Record vital signs such as; temperature, ht, wt, head circumference, blood pressure, respiration, pulse ox
Administer and record injections and immunizations
Administer medication when necessary
Perform necessary in-house test such as; rapid strep, flu, urinalysis, mono, COVID-19(both antigen and PCR)
Assisting Physician with procedures
Washing and sterilizing instruments used
Gives instructions to patients as instructed by Physician
Perform PKU's and blood draws, prepare to send out to the lab
Keeps rooms neat and stocked with adequate medical supplies
Medical Assistant Experience, Skills and Qualifications include:
1-2 years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but will train the right candidate
Proficient in performing injections and immunizations
Excellent phlebotomy skills
Maintain timely patient flow
Outstanding patient service skills
Must be detail oriented and organized
Great communications skills
Open to change and willing to learn
Flexible and willing to help when needed
Team player
Strong work ethic and able to work with a team or independently
Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus but will train right candidate
Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm as well as evenings and Saturday availability
