As the Lead Dental Treatment Coordinator your dental care educator and advocacy role is key to our practice success ensuring the smooth coordination of the patients experience in our office by handling patient records, treatment plans, and completing administrative tasks.
With your excellent communication skills and customer service oriented mindset, you will provide patients with a seamless experience from their initial consultation, through their finances and insurance, to their final appointment.
Job description qualifications and responsibilities
Experience in understanding the patient’s oral health history, concerns, and objectives
Ability to Explain the treatment plan, address patient concerns and answer any questions
Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment
Can build trust, and understand the patient’s objective
Can Manage and maintain the payment options and policies for patients to uphold the practice’s financial integrity
Understands the practice’s policy on working with dental benefit plans and is prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits
Can bill dental insurance, post payments, and claim estimations as required
Oversees patient accounts receivable and outstanding balances to ensure timely payment
Performs general office duties
Presents with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
Dental Office experience is a Requirement
Has a solid understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and treatments
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Knowledge of insurance plans and experience with insurance verification and claims processing
Ability to greet and welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and friendly experience
Schedule and coordinate appointments for patients
Collaborate with dental providers to ensure proper coordination and sequencing of treatments.
Follow up with patients to schedule and confirm appointments and provide post treatment care instructions.
CPR certified (will be required before starting)
Xray certified (not required but preferred)
