Job Description:
We are seeking a kind and dedicated caregiver for a full-time position to provide support to an individual managing Parkinson's disease. He is currently using a cane for ambulation. Room and board included, as this could be a live in position. Private bedroom and attached bathroom in a single family home.
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities and personal care routines.
Accompany the patient on walks and engage in physical activities to promote well-being.
Provide massage therapy to alleviate symptoms related to Parkinson's disease focused on the patient's leg.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
Prepare nutritious meals 2 - 3x a day. Fresh meals daily, not leftovers.
Drive the patient to errands, appointments, and other tasks as needed.
Aid in medication management, ensuring timely administration and adherence to prescribed schedules.
Assist with bathing and personal hygiene routines, if needed. This is not always needed.
Requirements:
Preferred experience as a caregiver, with preference given to those with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials. However, not required.
Availability for a full-time position, including 5-6 nights and 6 days a week.
Ability to pass a background check
Driver's license and good driver's record required. Car provided.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position and not hourly. Room and board provided at no cost.
