Job Position 1: Seeking Two (2) Personal Support Professionals – Weekdays (mornings, afternoons and evenings) and Weekends (mornings and afternoons)
Service: Personal Support Services ($32.18/hour)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday mornings 07:00am - 0900am (10 hours)
Monday and Tuesdays 03:00pm - 09:00pm (12 hours)
Wednesdays and Thursdays 04:00pm - 09:00pm (10 hours)
Fridays 03:00 pm - 10:00pm (7 hours)
Saturday 07:00am – 12:00pm (5 hours)
Sunday 10:00am – 04:00pm (6 hours)
Total of 50 hours to be divided among two professionals
Job Summary: Provide Personal Support Service to young lady to live a joyful and dignified life, while achieving meaningful days
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with dressing, grooming and undertaking daily hygiene routines.
Assist with making daily breakfasts and dinners, and weekend lunches and hydrate.
Monitor and assist navigating individual’s home and neighborhood safely and to choose preferred daily activities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to guide a person through physical tasks ensuring an obstacle-free environment.
Ability to support oral feeding.When trained and certified support g-tube feeding.
Patience and ability to learn to communicate with a deaf and non-verbal person who communicates through facial expressions, objects, cues, and routines.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
First Aid Certification
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
Certified Medicine Technician, employer will pay for certification if you do not have it.
Valid Maryland driver’s license, insurance and good driving record
Must have evidence of being vaccinated against COVID and flu.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 80 pounds
Must live in Montgomery County Maryland or in close vicinity.
Other
Must have a vehicle in good working order with wheelchair storage capacity.
Must have insurance coverage that includes passengers.
