Your Only Friend Seeks Bartender

Your Only Friend, an aspiring James Beard award-winning sandwich shop and cocktail bar created by Paul Taylor and Sherra Kurtz, who, according to both of their mom’s are going to be real successful, is looking to hire a bartender to become part of their team. You would work directly with the owner/operators to execute their sandwich and beverage vision, and ultimately prove their mothers correct.

We are looking for someone who:

- Believes that genuine hospitality is the creation of magic in a world that needs much more of just that;

- Thinks a combination of filling and bread might change the world;

- Takes sandos and bevvy’s seriously, but not themselves so much;

- Has traveled (minimum distance of 25 miles or 40.2336 kilometers) to a specific place because they just HAD to eat or drink something there;

- Has invested a minimum of 3 hours delving into the deep, intricate origin stories of smoked, boiled, fermented, canned, or encased food products;

- Gets overly excited by a good pickle;

- Has a favorite cocktail from a favorite place;

- Knows a reasonable amount about cabbage, just enough to get yourself out of a sticky sitch;

- Enjoys long walks at the farmers market and late-night strolls down convenience store aisles;

Job responsibilities;

- Guest relations - serving guests - program communication

- Beverage production - cocktail-heavy program

- Alcohol, guest, and team member safety

- Food delivery and transportation - Internal Transpo of Sando (ITS)

- Opening and closing duties

- Daily batching and prep

- Stocking and restocking

- Daily and weekly cleaning

- Cash handling

- End-of-night reporting/inventory

- Restroom upkeep and restoration

- Other duties as assigned

We are seeking someone who is passionate and excited about hospitality, food (mainly sandwiches, but we like other foods as well), and beverages.
