Bar Betsie is a new cocktail bar and neighborhood hangout located in the heart of DC’s Union Market District. From the team behind Jane Jane, Betsie is a warm, welcoming space inspired by family, fun, and excellent drinks. We’re looking for a General Manager to help lead our team and shape the guest experience as we grow into our first year of service.

You understand how to create great guest experiences, support your team, and keep operations running smoothly. You're hands-on, organized, and excited to be part of a small but mighty team.
Responsibilities Include:
Oversee day-to-day operations with a strong presence on the floor
Manage scheduling, staffing, and team communication
Lead service, ensure bar readiness, and uphold hospitality standards
Track sales, costs, and labor goals in coordination with ownership
Manage vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory
Collaborate on programming, events, and seasonal updates
Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture
Qualifications:
3+ years in a management role in a cocktail-focused bar or restaurant
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and bar operations
Confident leadership style with excellent communication skills
Detail-oriented and calm under pressure
Experience with inventory systems, POS platforms, and team scheduling
