Republic Cantina is looking for talented hosts that exude friendly hospitality and appreciate good Texas food & drink.
We have some flexibility on hourly commitment between FT and PT hours. Our needs currently are for Sat & Sun brunch shifts (roughly 10a-3p), and Mon, Tue & Sat dinner shifts (roughly 3-10p)
Pay is a flat $25/hr for AM shifts. PM shifts are tipped, with a $25/hr guaranteed takehome between base wage & tips (i.e. if base + tips don't take you to $25/hr in a given shift, the house makes up the gap)
If you get excited by the sizzle of a fajita and don't mind Willie Nelson on repeat: please reply with a resume!
More about Republic Cantina:
Located in a 100yr-old former horse stable in Truxton Circle, Republic Cantina features Tex Mex classics "done right," with some space reserved at the margins to get a little creative and build on the traditions of the cuisine. If you grew up with Tex Mex, you know that the culture around this food is a rich and fascinating one, and that the versions of Tex Mex that reach the East Coast are generally a poor representation. We seek to change that.
Our bar program is agave-centric and focused on margaritas done extremely well (in addition to a focused cocktail/beer/wine list). We offer a thoughtful list of high quality, interesting & esoteric agave spirits (if you've been looking for a place to share your expertise of sotol and bacanora with guests, we might be for you).
