Windows Catering is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that contribute to crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of all baked goods, ensuring consistency and high quality.

Maintain the highest level of food quality and presentation, adhering to company standards.

Follow safe and sanitary food handling practices in compliance with health regulations.

Collaborate with Pastry Chefs by preparing ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and performing assigned tasks according to the menu.

Check products for quality and freshness, ensuring that all ingredients meet company standards.

Accurately measure and weigh ingredients such as flour, sugar, and other baking components.

Set oven temperatures and bake items according to precise instructions.

Use mixing, blending, and cooking machinery, adjusting settings for time and speed as needed.

Adapt ingredient quantities based on production needs.

Apply glazes, icings, or other decorative toppings using spatulas or brushes.

Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts to meet aesthetic and flavor standards.

Inspect and maintain baking equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Provide support in specialty dessert preparation for events and catering functions.

Exceed client expectations by delivering outstanding products and service at every event.

Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Culinary school degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Strong foundation in food preparation, baking techniques, and food service etiquette.

Experience in a restaurant, bakery, or catering kitchen is highly desirable.

Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols, including allergen awareness.

Familiarity with catering production and event service is beneficial.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
