Job Description
The Head Brewtender will work closely with and report directly to the General Manager performing 3 main tasks
1. Selling Beer! - Our main product is beer. Everyone's income is made from selling beer. Your mission is to sell beer. You will do this by working behind the bar covering the 5 busiest and most profitable shifts each week and working with the General Manager to create events, create content, post content on social media, and expand our online presence so we can get people into the taproom and sell them our awesome beer!
2. Enforcing the Operations Manual – This isn’t rocket surgery. It’s Opening, operating, and closing a cozy hall with 20 taps and a panini press. If you can put together an Ikea bookshelf and are responsible enough to read this post to the end and follow the application directions… Then you got it covered baby!
3. Anything Else – Covering shifts, certifications, maintenance, repairs, improvements, marketing, sales, adventure, fun, silliness, graphic design, interpretive dance, cooking, experimentation, creativity, and anything else that would be needed to assist your main source of income to find more customers, provide a product you are proud of, and make a lot of money.
Compensation
When you are actively selling beer as a Head Brewtender you will make a base of $15 an hour plus tips. You can expect at least $15 and an hour in tips to start, with that increasing as we increase sales. You can expect to work 35-40 hours a week at this rate. When you are assisting the General Manager with “Anything Else”, you will be paid a flat rate of $20 per hour. You can expect to work 5 to 10 hours per week at this rate.

I’m looking for an understanding of what the challenge is and that you are excited about the prospects of coming in and making things happen!
2. Leadership Experience - Tell me about any leadership positions you have had in the past. Scouts, military, jobs, volunteering, entreprenurual. Tell me what being a leader means to you. Tell me why you'll be a good fit leading a crew of Audacious brewtenders.
3. Beer, Glorious Beer! – We sell beer. Tell me about your love of craft beer. What 3 styles do you like and why? What 3 local brewery taprooms do you like and why? Your income will be made by selling Audacious beer. Show me you can be a beer salesperson.
4. Up for the Challenge? - Show me you are up to the challenge of selling a lot of beer and making a lot of money by increasing sales. Tell me how a past challenge relates to what we are going to accomplish.
5. Personality Check - We have an eclectic crew of people. Based on your taproom visit, how do you think your personality and experiences with mesh with the crew and taproom?
