The State Theatre is the best live music venue in Falls Church Virginia. We are now hiring Men and Women for Door Staff/Security positions. Hours are approximately 6:00PM - 2AM but this varies depending on the event. Most of our big shows are on the weekends but some weekday and holiday shifts are required including New Years Eve. This is a part time job. There are no shifts available during the day.
Previous event security experience or experience working in a concert venue, bar, night club or restaurant is helpful but not required. We will train the right person.
This is a fun work environment but we also work hard. We handle situations professionally and calmly. Any potential member of our staff must be able to deal with problem customers verbally without dealing with them physically. However the ability to handle yourself physically as needed is still a job requirement.
Other Requirements:
Minimum age 21
Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to think and act calmly in stressful situations
Ability to politely interact with patrons
Reliable and punctual
Ability to pass a background check
It is also a plus if you enjoy music!
