ROLE SUMMARYThe Senior Manager, Federal Policy & Government Relations (FPGR), reports to the Vice President of Federal Policy & Government Relations and will provide policy, government relations and project management support to the Federal Policy & Government Relations team. Responsibilities include tracking, summarizing and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments, coordinating briefing materials for and tracking enterprise-wide advocacy engagements with policymakers, key trade associations and coalitions, and other external stakeholders.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with VP to provide input and support strategic planning and ensure coordination and implementation of Federal legislative and policy initiatives by all FPGR teams.

Support FPGR team in setting objectives and managing multiple project coordination to execute strategies on policy and advocacy initiatives with other components of Corporate Affairs and other Functions, including Legal, Corporate Affairs, US Commercial, Oncology, Global Regulatory Science, Pfizer Global Supply, and Pfizer Research & Development and other enabling functions.

Represent Pfizer at engagements to influence policy and advocacy positions with Congressional and administration staff, key industry trade associations, organizations and other coalitions.

Assist and support Pfizer business units and other functions in the development and execution of public policy strategies and tactics to advance their specific objectives and ensure objectives represent a one Pfizer approach.

Create and support the development of materials including briefing memos, policy positions and other advocacy materials regarding key policy issues to support government affairs and advocacy on federal policy issues.

Ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting on federal legislative and regulatory activity/strategies and development of new concepts that improve existing processes.

Help drive outreach and communication with national trade associations to ensure support and alignment on priority Federal Government initiatives and Executive Leadership participation on Association Boards and Committees.

Lead/Co-lead meetings, communications and tracking of assignments with consultants working to implement Federal advocacy strategies.

Manage and organize day-to-day functions and processes of FPGR team, including meeting planning and preparation, execution of events, maintaining briefing materials.

Provide writing and presentation support to VP and FGPR team members, including drafting letters, presentations and other communications materials intended for internal and external audiences.

Set objectives,manage multiple projects, anticipate needs, and generate appropriate communications materials that assist FPGR Team in improving the environment, succeeding with policy goals, and driving business results.

Other projects as developed by VP and FPGR team.

Must Have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

7+ years of experience connected to government relations, Congressional or Executive Branch.

Excellent communication, writing, editing, and organizational skills.

Capacity for sharp analysis and strategic thinking.

The ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple assignments in a demanding environment.

The ability to build relationships and work collaboratively, and navigate a matrixed organization.

Energetic self-starter and resourceful problem solver.

Expertise with Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel.

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Nice to Have:

Experience in health-related federal administrative agency or on Congressional legislative staff.

Experience working in or with academic experts, think-tanks, and strategic consulting firm(s).

Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry a plus.

Experience in strategic planning and project management.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
