DOG UNIVERSITY in Vienna VA has immediate openings for Doggy Day Care Team Members. Both full and part time positions are available.
A patient and caring attitude and the ability to multi task in an environment full of distractions is a must. Willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions carefully, and work as part of a team is also required. Respectful communication with coworkers is also required. This is an entry level position with true potential for advancement. We only promote from within. Nearly everyone at Dog University started in the DCA position : -)
Some specific job duties include:
Active supervision of group play.
Cleaning.
Feeding and medications for boarding and daycare dogs.
Cleaning.
Basic dog grooming such as nail trims, baths and de-shedding treatments.
More cleaning.
Education regarding dog behavior and health
Poop pick up!
Position requires some period of time being outside with the dogs in cold and hot weather.
We will train you!

Basic requirements for ALL DOG UNIVERSITY employees include:
HS graduate or equivalent.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work weekend shifts
Ability to work holidays. (We are busiest during major holidays).
Love for ALL dogs and the smells, sounds and silly behavior that comes with them : -)
Communication skills: Teamwork is required.
Ability to complete required tasks in sometimes adverse conditions. This is HARD WORK.
Your own, reliable transportation.
Punctuality and reliability. We expect our employees to be on time - No excuses. Because our customers pay us to take care of their beloved pets, we must have a reliable and responsible staff.
Ability to closely follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
Ability to be on your feet for a 7+ hour shift, minus your break(s) : )
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
Ability to learn and independently operate tools such as vacuums, washer/ dryer and mop floors
Kennel shifts: 6am-1pm and 1pm-9pm
