Oakton Academy is a Northern Virginia-based learning center that provides enriched learning experiences for elementary and high school students. We primarily specialize in college preparation, with an emphasis on SAT preparation and College Applications.
We have immediate openings for highly qualified English and History teachers to teach SAT English in the Fall and Spring of 2024.
Experienced teachers, retired teachers, and Ph.D. or Master's program students are highly encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidate:
Passion for teaching
Strong academic credentials (BA or BS required)
Strong English Teaching experience, SAT English preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal skills
Interaction with high school students
In-person teaching opportunities
This is an ideal part-time or weekend job opportunity while you pursue other professional endeavors. It is also suitable for retired professionals who would like to leverage their English language skills while gaining extra income or for full-time school teachers who would like to teach a few hours during weekend hours.
Sunday hours/schedule: 2 - 4 pm and 4 - 5 pm
