Seeking part time support staff/personal assistant/companion with flexible hours for a fellow with learning differences who also has small non- profit yard work and errand services. Client is fun loving and enjoys being busy and productive. Success on the job depends on how well directions are followed. Disabilities are invisible initially so orientation and training ongoing will explain it all. Experience with Education, Special Needs/Learning Disabilities, a plus. Organizing, Cleaning up, Yard work, Medical appointments, Shopping, Attending events in the community, Social activities and Exercise are some of the daily activities.
Requirements:
Adult First Aid and CPR, in person or hybrid (will be reimbursed if do not have)
Must have fully insured reliable vehicle
Must demonstrate excellent English
Must have good judgement
Must be physically healthy and fit
Must be able to learn from family/experienced supports and work as a member of the team but respect client’s right as in charge of his life while being kept busy and safe with staff guidance.
