Lead Teacher for Toddlers

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher for our toddler class to join our team at St. Anthony's Day School. The school has been in operation for 25 years. We have an amazing set of dedicated employees and families that we serve. This person must have a minimum of a an Associates Degree and must be able to pass a background check. They would also have to be comfortable working with all ages from infants to five years of age. This position would be working alongside the Assistant Teacher and Childcare Assistant to support the needs of the children and families that we serve.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that are inline with the school's philosophy

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children

- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

- Promote positive behavior management techniques

- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment

- Guide children with love, kindness, and respect in providing help, comfort, and support

- Conduct student evaluations and be available for parent conferences and activities as needed

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting

- Knowledge and familiarity of childhood development practices

- First aid and CPR certification preferred

- Strong classroom management skills

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
