Community Association in Alexandria is seeking a Covenants and Communications Director.
The primary duties of this position are operating the Covenants Department as established by the policies and procedures of the Architectural Committee and the Association. This will consist of enforcing the covenants and restrictions and reviewing exterior alteration applications per the Architectural Guidelines and unit exterior and interior alteration review process. The position also manages the Association’s communications channels, such as the newsletter, website, weekly email blast updates, and posting on the official Facebook page.
The Covenants and Communications Director provides operational support to Management, the Board of Directors, the Covenants Committee, and its members to ensure understanding and conformance with the Association's covenants, deeds, bylaws, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Respond promptly to resident concerns and conduct inspections related to the Association's governing documents and
Architectural Guidelines violations.
Initiates violation procedures on time and follows through to resolution.
Conduct inspections for disclosure and resale packets and manage the resale process.
Prepares documentation for and conducts compliance hearings with the Covenants Committee.
Assists in the review of unit alterations applications, including site inspections.
Be knowledgeable of all Association Governing Documents, Rules and Regulations, and general legal requirements of a
community association.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain open lines of communication with fellow Management, homeowners,
and The Board of Directors.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports, as required by Management
Update the Association’s website regularly (training provided).
Manage the Newsletter monthly publication, including content.
Send weekly email updates to the community.
Such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be directed and required
Qualifications
Covenants enforcement experience is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Strong customer service and people skills.
Ability to conduct Architectural Committee meetings and UOA Hearings.
Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Completion of CAI M-100 course and active CMCA a plus.
Previous property management experience and knowledge are a must.
Excellent organizational skills and project management.
Advanced written communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling,
pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 20 lbs or more, following appropriate safety
procedures.
Must communicate on the phone and in person with homeowners and residents to resolve issues.
Must be mobile enough to move around both the office to make copies, send mail and faxes, and walk around the property
Attends Committee meetings once a month.

Salary: $28-32 per hour based on experience.
