BryceTech is currently looking for a Technical Writer. This position will be supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Planning and Exercise Division (PED).The team effort will focus on the development of deliberate and crisis action plans, plan validation and exercises, training and professional development, data and geospatial analytics, and technical assistance requirements.The technical writer will provide support to PED in areas such as program management, planning, policy, readiness, internal controls, administrative services, and business office support. These services must align with industry and government best practices. Resources will be located across FEMA offices to meet the requirements and objectives of the work. The technical writer shall operate in both unclassified and classified environments.The Person in this role shall be capable of responsible for doing the following:Performing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis of voluminous data and information using all-sources (e.g., Internet and FEMA Intranet; FEMA Enterprise Data Warehouse, and other pertinent sources). Interpreting results of analysis in writing using appropriate format/template. Developing supporting graphics depicting potentially complex or obscure concepts. Using Microsoft Office Suite (at a minimum, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Using the FEMA SharePoint establish, management and maintain a centralized repository for product and deliverables produced during this planning effort. Organizing and supporting inter- and intra- agency meetings in person and virtually. Adhering to federal accessibility guidelines specified in section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Communications Act.
