Description A Robert Half client is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of technical documents, including internal procedures and policies. You will work closely with others to gather information, understand technical concepts, and translate them into user-friendly content.Responsibilities:

Develop clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for a variety of audiences

Collaborate with different team members to ensure accuracy and alignment of documentation.

Utilize knowledge of project management principles to meet deadlines and stay organized.

Maintain consistency with existing style guides and documentation standards.

Identify and recommend opportunities for improving the organization and effectiveness of existing documentation.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a related role.

Proven ability to create clear, concise, and engaging technical writing.

Strong understanding of the user experience and how to write for different audiences.

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience with SharePoint (preferred).

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be local to the Washington DC area and available to work in the office 1-2 days per week.
