Senior Business Systems Analyst Job Description

We are looking for someone with a strong business mindset and proven analytical skills. As a Business Systems Analyst on the Finance Business Systems team, you will work with the members of the global finance team to tackle business issues and uncover business opportunities across the organization to improve the overall business processes. In addition you will work with individual teams to enhance their use of business systems to identify issues, improve efficiencies, and continually improve day-to-day business processes.The primary responsibility of a Business Systems Analyst will be to work alongside various teams to provide business systems support. In the role, you will interact with stakeholders across the company and ultimately own the reporting and documentation of systems issues across multiple systems. You will also support additional team functions such as strategic analyses and finance business systems projects.RESPONSIBILITIES- Document business systems issues, root cause, desired solutions, and business processes
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and recommend technological solutions and business process changes
- Serve as a data expert to internal partners and work with them to support their analytic requirements
- Document analytics and reporting processes and create user guides for internal partners
- Create data sets in SQL from existing company applications
- Assist Business Systems Projects by assisting in gathering formal requirements, facilitating solution design, and working with business and technical teams to build detailed test scripts
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or related
- 3-5 years of reporting/data analysis experience preferably for the finance department within a large dynamic corporate environment
- 3+ years supporting Business systems around process flows like O2C/P2P etc.
- Exposure to SQL scripts
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Proven written and oral communication with excellent ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency writing and working with SQL scripts and MS Access processes, advanced skills manipulating and preparing data in Excel
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using MS SQL Server, and/or other BI platforms & data warehouse tools
- Masters degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or related
- Ability to train colleagues to write basic SQL scripts+
- Experience with Oracle
