CFO.com seeks a reporter to provide timely, insightful reporting to serve chief financial officers and finance executives. This includes enterprise reporting, in-depth features analyzing the trends and issues affecting the CFO role, high-profile Q&As, and reporting on corporate finance risks and opportunities. CFO.com is a publication which primarily serves the role of the CFO. Reporters are expected to support the team’s mission through subject matter expertise in the various areas of corporate finance, own their beats, pitch ideas, and pursue ambitious stories based on source building, keen observations and industry knowledge. Successful candidates will chase down scoops, juggle daily and longer-term deadlines, and develop and write stories that capture the impact of economic, regulatory, and technology trends on the CFO role. The ideal candidate will be well-sourced with finance chiefs and the adjacent industry professionals that work with them. This position will report directly to the manager for the CFO.com team. What you’ll do:The CFO.com reporter will regularly write stories that drive our coverage, with a focus on subject matter expertise, sourcing, and writing voice that engages finance executives. You will monitor your beat, regularly pitch stories, cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders and hunt down scoops.
