Job Title: Patient Service CoordinatorJob DescriptionAs a Patient Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing the best customer service to patients by greeting them with a warm and friendly smile, managing check-in and check-out processes, gathering demographic information, verifying insurance, taking copayments, and scheduling appointments. You will serve as the initial contact person in the oncology department, ensuring courteous and professional interactions with all patients.Responsibilities

Greet patients with a warm and friendly smile.

Perform check-in and check-out procedures by inputting patient charges and verifying demographic and insurance information.

Manage the intake of patients into the practice, screen for emergent conditions, register patients, and explain patient responsibilities for payment.

Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or assigned hospital department.

Support organization initiatives related to new technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience.

Essential Skills

Customer service is a must!

Experience in patient registration, health care, and administrative support.

Ability to room patients.

Data entry and patient scheduling skills.

1 year of experience providing high-quality customer service, preferably in a health care setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

CPR Certification.

Work EnvironmentThis position is full-time with rotating start times across 8-hour shifts, including weekends. Shifts may range from 7am-3:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, or 9am-5:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
