JOB DESCRIPTIONBryceTech is currently looking for a Geospatial Analyst. This position will be supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Planning and Exercise Division (PED).The team effort will focus on the development of deliberate and crisis action plans, plan validation and exercises, training and professional development, data and geospatial analytics, and technical assistance requirements.The Geospatial Analyst will provide support to PED in areas such as program management, planning, policy, readiness, internal controls, administrative services, and geospatial data visualization. These services must align with industry and government best practices. Resources will be located across FEMA offices to meet the requirements and objectives of the work. The Geospatial Analyst shall operate in both unclassified and classified environments.The Person in this role shall be responsible for:Performing geospatial data collection, integration, and analysis to support disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.Developing and maintaining GIS dashboards, maps, and visualizations to enhance situational awareness and decision-making.Organizing, structuring, and maintaining geospatial datasets, templates, and tools within FEMA’s Planning Decision Support Catalog (PDSC).Supporting the design and automation of analytical tools with real-time data feeds (e.g., NWS, DOE, transportation).Producing decision-support products such as incident journals, lifeline dashboards, and crisis action maps.Conducting hazard and risk assessments to inform FEMA’s planning and operational coordination.Supporting national- and regional-level planning workshops, exercises, and briefings with geospatial analysis and visualizations.Ensuring all geospatial products meet FEMA formatting, branding, and Section 508 compliance requirements.Providing surge support during major incidents with rapid mobilization of GIS products.
