Job SummaryResponsibilities for this role include:

Develops and maintains relationships with federal officials, to provide access for Dominion on critical issues impacting the business.

Manages proactive lobbying of legislation and regulations, with executive and legislative branches of government.

Identifies legislative and executive branch opportunities to achieve competitive advantages for Dominion.

Conducts political analyses of issues and trends affecting business strategies.

Develops and maintains relationships with key trade associations, develops allies, and forms coalitions to assist business units.

Produces positive outcomes for legislative/regulatory proposals. Develops and maintains internal company "client" relationships, in areas of policy responsibility.

Assists in developing company positions and strategies to impact legislative and regulatory changes.

Prepares and develops political background information and materials, to educate executive and legislative branches of government.

Provides updates to management on issues and political trends.

Provides recommendations to management and Dominion PAC, on political contributions to federal, elected officials and/or candidates.

Directs Dominion's participation in political events.

Attends and seeks leadership positions at our relevant trade associations legislative committee meetings.

Works as a liaison, to coordinate Dominion legislative priorities, with the associations and other companies.

Ensures compliance with all federal campaign finance statutes.

Serves as bipartisan liaison, and directs company involvement in Federal, State, and Local political organizations such as Republican National Committee, Democratic National Committee, and political umbrella groups (PUGS) associated with these organizations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience10-14+ years of experience in lobbying or equivalent. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement.Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

Knowledge of political and legislative process at federal level.

Knowledge of Dominion core business.

Ability to analyze legislative issues impacting core business, and develop strategic action plans.

Demonstrated advocacy skills.

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
