This position is in support of GDIT’s contract with the Administrative Office of United States Courts – Administrative Office Technology Office (AOUSC-AOTO) in Washington DC.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing systems, applications, and solutions to support AOTO’s enterprise-wide desktop systems. Primary responsibilities include conducting technology refreshes and replacing aging user endpoints with updated hardware and standardized desktop images. This hands-on role requires technical proficiency in the Windows 10 operating system, Office 365 applications, along with a solid grasp of enterprise-level frameworks, policies, processes, and standards. The position also involves critical thinking, analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Follow defined standards for deploying Windows Desktop Images.
Implement Windows 11 Standard Image deployment checklists and processes.
Execute post-installation checklists.
Collaborate with systems engineers/administrators to facilitate ticket/alert remediation.
Review deployment of existing systems and remediate to ensure alignment with standards as necessary.
Ensure that deployments adhere to approved design standards following documented SOPs and Work Instructions.
Qualifications:REQUIRED SKILLS:
2-3 years of experience as a desktop technician in an enterprise environment.
Proficiency in migrating end-user data and profiles using User State Migration Tool (USMT).
Experience with Windows 10 desktop image deployment.
Understanding of encryption processes.
Experience with online upgrades of Windows 10 desktops.
Familiarity with Anti-Virus applications and enterprise deployment products.
Knowledge of application packaging and scripted installs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Surface, Dell, and HP Laptops/Desktops.
Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 channels and upgrade cycles.
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with coworkers and customers.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
HS/GED, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Industry-leading certifications related to desktop engineering and management are preferred, with sufficient skills/experience to complement.
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $24.51 - $33.17. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
