Job Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and manage configuration Change Request Queue (CRQs) items and review baseline documentation for all devices on network utilizing adopted Federal client standards/security best practices for change management/configuration.

Review and update existing CM plans/procedures and recommend improvements based on industry best practices for change management, NIST, FISMA, OMB, FERC EPMO policy and guidance, and other government agency requirements.

Review existing CMDB, identify overall business needs, provide process and technology recommendations tailored for Federal Client needs

Follow Commission policies and the SDLC, coordinate with operations teams to ensure change management approvals built into management processes.

Manage tools across project lifecycles, provide recommendations to consolidate tools, migrate towards automation solutions where possible.

Confirm implementations adhere to SDLC by engaging in every part of the process from procurement phase to ensuring proper security plans are developed including detailed plan for maintenance and estimate end of life/disposal plan.

Drive management of change that occurs for Federal client to improve the change management processes and ensure all approved changes are implemented correctly.

Coordinate with all divisions at the Federal client to implement organizational and information technology changes.

Change manager should be able to analyze current practices and advise client on improvements to current CM process.

Integrate the CM tracking / Change Management systems, ensuring all changes to the operational environment can be traced through the documentation and approval process.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

5+ years of relevant work experience.

Experienced in change management, software version management and functional and physical configuration management.

Experience with Configuration Management Tools

Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 4 - 7 years of prior relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of BS degree, or Masters with 2 - 6 of prior relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:

Configuration and Data Management (CDM) certification

ITIL experience
