We are looking for a dedicated and licensed therapist to provide compassionate and culturally sensitive counseling to children aged 5 to 17 in an outpatient setting.You will conduct mental health intakes, develop treatment plans, and deliver both individual and group therapy. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will also collaborate with Clinical Managers to ensure comprehensive care and maintain accurate documentation.If you are driven to make a difference and committed to excellence in mental health care, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesLicensed Therapist will be responsible for providing structured, ethical and culturally sensitive clinical counseling in accordance with the District of Columbia license and certification standards for mental health services in an outpatient facility.Provides counseling, reviews, and assessments for individuals served. This position must have a positive and supportive attitude toward the agency and its overall success. Must have the ability to think globally, solve problems and have good decision-making skills, including critical thinking skills.MBI provides professional mental health services to over 5,000 consumers in its mental health programs. It is our goal to embrace, advocate, and empower the minds and lives of men, women, and children. Our highly experienced healthcare professionals provide premium services throughout the DC Metropolitan Area.Provides outpatient therapy for children (ages 5-17) and families both in individual and group settings.Conducts mental health intakes and assessments and develops treatment plans.Conducts diagnostic assessments, including in the community.Participates in treatment team meetings and link families to appropriate services and agencies to assist in the overall health and wellbeing of the individuals served.Engages new intakes by meeting weekly until assignments can be made.Collects, enters and assigns therapy clients, including providing referrals to medical records.Provides therapy; maintains assigned caseload.Works with Clinical Managers and other multi-disciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans/assessments for clients.Creates appropriate case management notes and input into systems as needed.Maintains clinical supervision for the clinical and diagnostic team to ensure consistency with DBH/MHRS regulations; policies and procedures.Conducts diagnostic assessments, including in the community.Follows up with contractor’s assessments in crisis.Works with Clinical Managers to assign new intakes to teams, including follow through to ensure CSW assignments.May provide clinical supervision to the diagnostic and clinician team (if fully licensed).Reviews and approves clinical documentation of identified staff.Completes client and other records in CREDIBLE regarding the participation in mental health treatment.Develops and updates policies, procedures, and directives in accordance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements and ensures staff training and implementation of such.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
