This may include but not be limited to the oversight and management of operational assessments of financial industry participants, advisory engagements, litigation support, or other engagements. Working closely with SitusAMC team members and Clients, the Associate will utilize his or her residential mortgage experience in a professional capacity to oversee and perform qualitative assessments of a lender and/or servicer’s operations, compliance, accounting, legal, and IT systems. While managing the day-to-day responsibilities, the incumbent will be asked to provide support to SitusAMC consulting engagements as may be necessary, including special projects and client requests. As a mortgage professional, the candidate will make an essential contribution to our company and our clients and will work among a team of bright, committed, and inspiring individuals in an exciting, fast-paced environment.Essential Job Functions:

Perform detailed review and risk assessment of residential mortgage entities, with a focus on origination and lending

Gather, track, and assimilate due diligence questionnaires, legal documentation, and financial statements as well as compliance and operational policies and procedures

Evaluate origination and lending policies and related operations

Demonstrate professionalism while conducting on-site and/or remote operational assessments of target lenders to assess business and operational risks related to operational efficiencies, compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements, organizational structure, financial stability, technology, and internal controls

Create full-length, comprehensive operational due diligence reports summarizing the identified risks, issues, or deficiencies

Facilitate communication and tracking of documentation request lists and review agenda

Maintain accurate review status in SitusAMC systems, including billable hours, as appropriate, to ensure timely completion and invoicing of completed engagements

Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

College degree in related field, and or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experienced professional with 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at a Senior Analyst or Analyst level role or external equivalent.

Residential mortgage experience in general origination, lending, and underwriting is strongly required.

Working knowledge of mortgage regulatory and compliance requirements, including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems

Working knowledge of, and familiarity with, current origination laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and industry best practices

Strong residential lending experience in the following areas: FHA, GNMA, GSE, VA and USDA loans

Experience reviewing loan files

Sub servicer oversight experience a plus

Leadership experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting key findings and metrics

Demonstrated ability to develop detailed corrective and preventative action plans to ensure compliance or quality performance, or to increase efficiencies

Experience conducting or overseeing compliance audits

A strong commitment to client service and satisfaction

Highly motivated, self-directed, team-oriented, and attentive to detail

The ability to work independently to complete work as per client requirements

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent time management skills

Effective leadership and critical thinking skills

Special Requirements:

The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.
