Our community is a tight knit group of remarkable individuals interested in intellectual inquiry and making a difference in the world.RequirementsReporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions Information Systems will provide operational and systems management support to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Assistant Director will provide day-to-day CRM support, serve as an administrator for various systems, and maintain these systems to ensure success across the department. They will uphold and strengthen the integrity of the admissions process flow from application through enrollment. S/he will gather and provide extensive data analysis for the Dean and Director of Admissions. This position is a key decision-maker for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and will involve long-term strategic thinking and planning as well as key oversight of the Slate CRM system, and how it relates to other University systems such as Banner. Finally, the Assistant Director of Admissions Information Systems will supervise the office Web Developer and help them with the integration of Slate forms and events into the admissions website. Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage the Admissions Information Systems and other subordinate systems that support the recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of undergraduate students or related programs.

Gather, analyze, and interpret admissions related data for the Dean and Director of Admissions.

Work as part of the Admissions Office operations team to suggest, enhance, or implement technical processes to improve the overall workload and/or dataflow into the admissions information and related systems such as Banner.

Provide and/or update the documentation necessary to understand the admissions information system and how it relates to other University systems.

Work with other University departments to reconcile the data coming from the information system as it interfaces with other University systems such as Banner.

Provide operational support to the Office of Student Financial Services as it relates to the relationship between admissions and Banner interfaces/data.

Provide and/or update training materials to staff on the various processes that are managed by the admissions information system.

Work InteractionsThe person in this position will report to the Director of Admissions. They will be a key leader of the office Slate Team, which is comprised by members of the admissions staff. They will work closely with the office web developer to integrate Slate functionality with the undergraduate admissions website. In addition, they will work with the office critical indicators team on research projects for the Dean and Director of Admissions. There will be day to day interactions with various members of the admissions team to help support their Slate or other technology needs. External to the admissions office, the Assistant Director of Admissions Information Systems will work with University Information Services, the Office of Student Financial Services and the University Registrar’s office to manage and improve the interfaces between Slate and Banner. Additionally, they will work with other campus partners to ensure the smooth transition for our entering students such interactions may include the housing office, new student orientation, and revenue and receivables. They will work with Technolutions to further our interests as it relates to future development of the Slate system.Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a related field and at least five years of experience with the Slate CRM

Demonstrated knowledge and history of successful management of the Slate admission module

Strong Background with Ellucian Banner, particularly understanding the Admissions, Enrollment and Financial Aid modules

Demonstrated ability to manage and improve Slate to Banner interfaces

Demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of data, from collection to analysis, and finally visualization stages through a variety of queries, reports, and presentations

Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization software

Demonstrated ability to write reports and queries with Configurable joins in Slate

Experience with writing reports in COGNOS and understanding a data warehouse

Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts

Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint)

Effective written, verbal, and organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of technical and non-technical people and handle interactions/concerns with professionalism

Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team member to achieve common goals
