Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a public accounting firm in Wilmington, DE! We are offering a part-time, contract to hire employment opportunity for a skilled Accounting Clerk. This role is primarily responsible for handling accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, billing, data entry, and invoice processing. You will be working in a dynamic environment, processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in an efficient manner. Manage account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Handle billing procedures and ensure all invoices are processed correctly. Perform data entry tasks to maintain customer records. Resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications and billing. Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Create and maintain accurate files for accounting purposes. Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks. Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role. Proven experience with Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Demonstrated skills in Billing and Invoice Processing. Proficiency in Data Entry. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
