Production Assembly Operator

Please note that this is an 18 month contract position. Shift: 6am – 2:30 pmJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Set up and operated basic fabrication processes and fabricating assembliesWork on process/product/production assignments with clearly defined objectivesPerforms routine tasks, using prescribed proceduresResponsible for Weldment sub-assembly for 7890 detectors and inletsPerform routine tasks, using prescribed proceduresSolves problems of limited scope and complexity.Monitor & verify quality of each production operation using visual inspection, basic measurement devices and automated test equipment.Testing and troubleshooting requires technical understanding of the product and judgment decisionsPerform routine production line tasks defined by the work area using hand tools and/or operating equipment according to quality procedures nonconforming material/product, equipment calibration, ESD precautions, etc.Manage the inventory function on the benchWillingness to move to another shift and may require overtime for an extended period.REQUIREMENTS:Previous Manufacturing experience in an ISO Certified EnvironmentBasic PC skills applications to perform work or testingMust be able to work under a flow hoodDemonstrated use of tools, methods and processesQuality system orientationWillingness to take responsibility for resolving problemsRequired to 40% bend, stoop, walk and reach to retrieve or deliver parts and remain standing for 40% extended periods of time but not limited to 35 lbs. 60%No known allergies to chemicalsPosition requires standing for majority of the time but allows some flexibility to sit.Applicants must provide their phone number.
