Are you eager to apply your program and product management as well as technical skills to steer the direction and drive the implementation of the next generation of Oracle Database products and solutions? Come join the Oracle Database team as a Technical Program Manager!As a senior global leader in the Oracle Database team, you will drive strategic programs that will change the direction of Oracle Database for developers. These strategic programs will help to drive developer adoption and advocacy of Oracle Database worldwide. You will collaborate and partner with global product teams to include DB in their product lines, work with executives with differing visions to reach consensus and alignment of approach, and marketing teams to drive the best outcome. You will identify barriers and remove them, identify strategic partnerships and investments to amplify our reach to application developers and full stack engineers, and cross-pollinate with existing external communities as well as discover new channels to reach up-and-coming developers. You will execute on those strategic programs to acquire developers around the world.RequirementsProven leader that can drive strategic programs that impact all products in Oracle Database, including potentially products in other lines of business

Define barriers that prevent developers from using Oracle Database, and create and drive strategies to remove those barriers

Define approaches and solutions that create win/win opportunities and delights developers

Work within the defined developer strategy to drive the execution of those developer programs to increase adoption, engagement, and advocacy of Oracle Database worldwide

Identify strategic partnerships and investments to extend the developer learning experience, cross-pollinate existing communities and incubate innovative projects

Establish collaboration paths with internal and external groups, and work closely with international teams to develop an effective global approach and outcome driven activities

Required Skills

Ability to view holistic solutions with a strong bias for action

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing strategic documentation and proposals

Excellent collaboration, cross-channel and partnership building

10+ years of data-centric decision making

10+ years of technical program or product management experience

10+ years of experience with strategic planning and execution

10+ years of experience working in a global organizational structures

10+ years of experience with building products for developers

Preferred qualifications

Technical background, especially experience with databases and writing code is strongly preferred

Experience with developer advocacy, community building and technical documentation preferred

Experience with open source languages and frameworks preferred

Proficiency with Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycle preferred

Proficiency with JIRA/Confluence preferred

ResponsibilitiesManage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
