The Production Control Team provides scheduling support for our IBM mainframe and distributed processing environments. The team is a close-knit group of schedulers with a passion to provide support of UMB’s batch processing environment. We believe in fully supporting each other to achieve this goal. Self-education, peer consultation, mentor guidance, and formal training/seminars are some of the methods that we share information and knowledge.As a Production Control Analyst , you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring batch workloads run to completion without error or delay. You will also monitor processes to identify potential issues and recommend strategies to mitigate any risks. The due diligence done in this role will allow batch jobs and transaction processing to be completed successfully. This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of Kansas City area but within the US only.How you’ll spend your time:

Coordinating and maintaining day-to-day batch processing and file transmission schedules to ensure standards, schedules, and service levels are maintained.

Providing input and recommendations regarding batch processing and file transfer schedules and improvements.

Overseeing administration of different process scheduling tools and/or file transfer facilities and their associated processes.

Performing all batch process scheduling and file transfer activities for both mainframe and distributed processing environments.

Assist mainframe application support teams with the movement of program changes into the production processing environment.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

You have at least 3 years of work experience in mainframe operating environment and/or distributed processing environment.

You have at least 1 year of work experience with batch job and file transfer schedules and administration in a large processing environment.

You have demonstrated working knowledge of automated job scheduling in a mainframe and distributed processing environment (i.e. Linux, Windows).

You have experience with JCL coding techniques.

Bonus Points If:

You have work experience with mainframe job scheduling tool specifically “ZEKE” and/or mainframe change management tool specifically “ChangeMan”.
