The RME will be responsible for pursuing, obtaining, and maintaining electrical licenses on behalf of the company. This key role requires a deep understanding of electrical contracting regulations, licensing processes, and the various years of NEC code requirements (2017 to 2023) along with a commitment to ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Engage in the development and execution of SunPower licensing strategy to ensure compliance with state and local regulations and business continuity

Monitor changes in licensing laws and regulations, and promptly update the company on any modifications that may impact operations

Prepare and submit accurate and timely license applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and in accordance with regulatory standards

Respond quickly to any additional information requests from AHJs

Establish and maintain positive relationships with the internal licensing team, regulatory authorities, licensing boards, and other relevant entities

Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all licensing documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance verification

Stay informed about changes in electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices

Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure the company's activities align with all relevant electrical contracting laws and regulations

Monitor and address any compliance issues promptly and effectively

Minimum Requirements:

3+ years of direct experience working with residential PV and PV + Storage

Extensive experience in the electrical contracting industry, with a proven track record in obtaining and managing electrical licenses

In-depth knowledge of state and local electrical codes and regulations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

Familiarity with legal aspects related to licensing and compliance

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving screen

Motivated self-starter, willing to take initiative

Familiarity with business intelligence platforms

Preferred Requirements:

2+ years of departmental leadership experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
