JOB SUMMARY: Project Manager

We are looking for a self-assured, reliable Commercial Construction Project Manager (PM) to supervise multiple commercial projects. The PM will be tasked with directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, ensuring tools, equipment, and material are available, preparing reports, negotiating contracts, and analyzing risks. The PM should be able to work well within a team and also liaise with external vendors.

An in-depth knowledge of construction management and familiarity with health and safety regulations is required for this position. A top candidate should have an analytical mind, superb organizational skills, and good negotiation strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Responsibilities

Negotiating contracts to minimize operational and financial risk while ensuring maximum profitability and scope coverage.

Obtaining relevant permits and licenses

Determining and scheduling the necessary resources (time, cost, labor, materials) for each project

Vetting and hiring staff, contractors, and vendors.

Providing guidance and supervision as required

Assessing the progress and performance direct reports, subcontractors and other project personnel

Performing detailed analyses and reports for relevant stakeholders

Ensuring compliance with all building, safety, and governmental regulations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar a plus)

Relevant certification (PMP, PE) a plus

Advanced understanding of construction processes, principles, materials, and tools

Excellent leadership abilities

Great time management and organizational skills

The ability to communicate clearly

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Strong knowledge of schedule creation, maintenance, and related software

Experience with Procore or other construction management software platforms

Proficient with MS Office
