Position - Low Voltage Technician – (Access Control, CCTV, Data and AV)
Employment Type - Full-Time
Compensation - $24 to $36 per hour conditional upon experience.

Job Description - The candidate will be required to have experience in the installation of Low Voltage wiring, hardware / software, documentation of work through as built prints, and servicing access control, CCTV, Date and AV systems in the Delaware Valley area including Delaware, Southeastern PA, Eastern Maryland, and Southern New Jersey. Typical hours for this position are Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. Occasional travel, weekend and night work will be required. Common work environment & daily tasks include:
Support and install building infrastructure cable requirements.
Install low voltage wiring in conduit systems and open-wired ceiling plenums while complying with local and industry standard installation codes.
Perform basic cable terminations including Cat5, Cat6, RG6 and Single / Multi mode fiber.
Read and understand blueprints and direct other field technicians.
Installation of door control devices, such as electric strikes, magnetic locks, and PIR devices.
Installation of door control processors, power supplies, & cabinets.
Installation of analog & IP cameras.
Installation of Digital Video Recorders & Network Video Recorders.
Installation of wire terminations per BICSI standards for both quality & aesthetics.
Installation of other low voltage systems, such as intercom, intrusion, & audio / video systems.
Systems service calls, including diagnosing, repairing, replacing of components, and interacting with technical support for various vendors.
Comply and work within all OSHA and job site specific safety requirements.
Ability to use all applicable hand tools and required power tools.
Qualified candidates must have some combination of and be able to demonstrate the following:
2 – 4 years of formal wiring installation & termination training, such as BICSI.
3 – 5 years of general low voltage experience, such as intercom, telephone, or A/V.
3 – 5 years of access control experience installation experience, including hardware installation.
3 – 5 years of both analog & IP video security experience.
3 – 5 years experience reading & understanding project technical specifications.
3 – 5 years experience reading & understanding project drawings, details, & technical symbols.
Additional candidate requirements –
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Personal hand tools are provided by the employee, the company will provide other required specialty tools.
OHSA 10 or 30 certification.
