We are a small law firm in New Jersey, and will file a lawsuit with the Delaware federal court concerning a contract dispute. We need an attorney who is admitted to the Delaware federal court and is familar with local practices to act as our local counsel.
You will prepare and file a pro hac vice motion for us, and perform other regular local counsel duties. However, as the main counsel, we will draft pleadings and motions, handle discovery, settlement, and client communication. You will be responsible for our compliance with local practices.
Compensation is $3,000, plus possible additional compensation, as follows:
1. $1,000 upfront;
2. $1,000 after the court's approval of the pro hac vice motion;
3. $1,000 upon conclusion of the case;
4. $100 for each phone conference where the local counsel is required to attend; and
5. $500 for each court appearance where the local counsel is required to attend.
Other than the above, there will be no additional compensation for your services.
