Description We are in search of a motivated individual to fill the role of Divisional/Plant Controller in Woodstock, Connecticut. This role is an essential part of our team, focusing on tasks such as bank reconciliations, month-end close, and variance analysis within the manufacturing industry. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the completion of bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance Lead month-end close activities, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely completion Conduct thorough variance analysis, identifying discrepancies and addressing them promptly Utilize knowledge and experience in the manufacturing industry to enhance financial processes and systems Monitor financial performance and prepare regular reports for senior management Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial operations and improve financial controls Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in line with company objectives Ensure all financial operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive decision-making processes Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes. Requirements Proven experience in the role of Divisional/Plant Controller or similar position. Strong knowledge and experience in Manufacturing practices. Proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation. Demonstrable experience in Month-end Close Activities. Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on Variance Analysis. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. In-depth knowledge of business principles and best practices. Familiarity with industry-standard software and enterprise systems. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required; Master’s degree or relevant certification is preferred.
